The number one obstacle in suicide prevention is SILENCE. This silence, created by STIGMA, places a veil around mental health and suicide and it is not talked about. We need to pierce the veils of stigma, "BREAK THE SILENCE", and engage in a conversation about our mental health before a stage of crisis occurs.
Each and every one of us have a voice to start this conversation. By learning about the signs and risk factors related to suicide, and starting the conversation on mental health, your voice can help seriously reduce these risk factors from happening. More importantly, help reduce the rates of suicide and save lives.
